What is a Kilogram?

A kilogram is a metric unit of weight generally used in countries that use metric weights as a measurement.

The kilogram is used for many measurements, such as weighing food and human weight. Many people track their weight loss in kilos, and it’s often helpful to have something to compare this against.

A kilogram in weight is equal to:

  • 2.2 pounds
