How Much Juice Do You Get From One Orange?

I squeezed a number of average-sized supermarket oranges by hand to find the average juice yield per fruit. The average juice amount per orange was around 90ml.

How Much Zest Do You Get From an Orange?

Orange zest has many uses and is an excellent way to add flavor to baking.

If you need to know how many oranges you need to produce the correct amount of zest for your recipe. I zested a number of oranges to get an average and found out the following:

An averaged-sized orange available in supermarkets will produce around 2-3g or 1/2 tbsp of finely-grated zest (not including the rind.
